A Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down.

There's a reason I've been off the blogs recently.

Same reason I've been off my food and drink too. The reason I've been spending my mornings throwing up down the loo, and my lunch break whilst the boy sleeps sitting on my backside with a nice cup of tea instead of catching up with what is happening in Blogworld.

Baby number 2 is making its presence known.

Some women, like the one shown, look and feel great during pregnancy. The hormones give them a healthy glow, they feel empowered and fincredibly feminine, and they only get bigger in the place generally known as the bump. In short, they just bloom.

I am not one of these lucky women.

When I am pregnant, I feel like this...

...which is why there may now be a short interlude.

I'm 13 weeks at the moment - apparently, and from what I remember from last time, I can expect to start feeling a bit better at some point in the next two or three weeks.

I will back at such a point; however, in the interests of quality control, it's probably best if I leave my blog alone for now. I am a hormonally addled cranky old witch, and am only likely to post acerbic rants which I might regret later on.

Mind you, last time around I was still shouting at strangers and threatening to piss on their feet at 7 months...

We will have to see how it goes.

Wish me luck!

Congratulations. I don't believe that women like that one in the pic exist in the real world. Look at her, radiant, relaxed, natural. It's all rubbish. Nobody is like that, pregnant or not.

So pleased for you! Yes stay away from the computer for the moment as sick can be tricky to clean out from between the keys...

Bugger...I finally catch up with my blog reading and now you're gone.

Congratulations on the happy event (although it doesn't sound all that happy right now). Of course this time you also have a toddler to wear you out. Hope you will be feeling radiant and blooming soon :)

Oh I'm with on that, sister. The picture you posted is actually me pregnant with my first. Note the large-framed glasses as this was the style sixteen years ago....and in the jar? My children's father. (insert witchy cackle here)

Congrats, though we will miss you during your hiatus!

Oooohh... a baby! Congratulations!! Don't worry about us - we'll all be fine, and no doubt still here, when you find the time to come back. Mind you, we shall have to get used to missing you, 'cos once Baby Melissaria arrives, we won't see much of you anyway!!

Oh, and I agree about the radiant woman thing... we just don't know how long it took to create that picture of so-called glowing health... plenty of make-up, I'll bet! :D

Ms Robinson: I suspect you are right. I'm normally very critical of this sort unrealistic, air-brushed rubbish, but my defences are currently down, and have been feeling very self-critical. That woman is on the front of my prenatal vitamins and I swear heartily at her every night. I know one or two women who have genuinely enjoyed being pregnant, and I do envy them that. They did still look knackered though!

EmmaK: I'm a good shot with the wash basin by now, but suspect that any further posting before things setlle down would result in said keyboard being drenched in bile and vitriol! Not good...

Pat: Thank you - so do I!

Gypsy: I'm not gone, just 'resting' until my sense of humour is restored. Which will hopefully be very soon - I'm bored of being a ratty old ratbag!

Queen Goob: Ah the jar - I had that down as the remnants of someone that pissed me off yesterday...I love the xpression on her face, it sums up that morning sickness sensation perfectly!

Helga: I can have a good guess at how long - about 2 hours in make up and another 8 in Photoshop! Our business works with designers - one client spent 6 hours photoshopping his girlfriend's arse to make his prduct look better. Telling her was probably a mistake...

I'm hoping to start finding things funny again in a few days or a couple of weeks at worst. In the meantime, thanks for all the good wishes, and I'll keep you posted!

How lovely that you are pregnant! And how sucky that you have to feel so awful.

See you on the flip side.....

Well, congratulations! I'll miss your acerbic rants, but I'll keep checking back.

Maria: Thanks so much - I'm feeling a bit better now, but the boy's not sleeping in the day any more - so no time in the day, and no energy by the evening. Still - the itchy fingers are calling!

Moi: Thanks - I'm very close to another rant - I generally find it better to take it on here than on those around me!
